Will Spam Filtering catch all Spam?

    No. Our tests have shown that our Spam Filters catch about 90% of all Spam. Our Filters have been designed to offer a high level of spam blocking with a low level of false spam reports.

What is done with the Spam Filtered email?

    Mail classified as Spam will be labeled in the Subject Line with [Spam-Low] and sent to your Inbox. This allows you to set filters in your email sofrtware to filter out messages with [Spam-Low] in the subject so you can view them if desired on your computer. If a message is a Medium or High probability of spam it is sent to your Junk Mail box which you can view in Smartermail.

Can I see the email that is Filtered?

How long will my Junk Mail box be available?

    Spam messages will be held by default for 7 days in your Junk Mail folder then automatically deleted as to not fill up your mailbox.

Can I edit the spam filtering rules?

    Yes. You can edit the existing rules to strengthen or weaken the filtering. Click on the Help menu in Smartermail for detailed instructions. You may also add additional rules to further customize your filtering. Please see detailed instructions on how to do this at this link.
